The Greater Hammond Chamber is pleased to welcome Seth Bleakley as Member Relations Manager starting May 6.

“Seth's understanding of the Greater Hammond Chambers' mission, his skill set and knowledge of Tangipahoa Parish will help him succeed in his new role" President and CEO Melissa Bordelon said.

Bleakley has been an active member of the Chamber for the past three years, and his transition from member to the leadership team will undoubtedly be a smooth one.

“His personality, genuine concern for others and drive to succeed will be a welcome addition. We invite everyone to offer their congratulations and be ready to work with him in support of our member businesses,” Bordelon said. "I have no doubt members and prospective members are going to embrace Seth’s enthusiasm and trust him to help them get the most out of their membership benefits.”

Most recently Bleakley worked for Southeastern Louisiana University as an Admissions Counselor. Prior to his time at Southeastern, he worked for Child Advocacy Services doing Community Outreach.

A resident of Tangipahoa Parish, he graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and was an active member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. As a St. Thomas Aquinas High School graduate, Bleakley is very familiar with the community and ready to begin his new role.

"I'm definitely looking forward to learning more about our Greater Hammond Chamber members! Having a more behind the scenes and an internal view to add on to what I have already experienced as an active member, is going to allow me to better serve our members and community,” Bleakley said.

Bleakley will focus on member support, retention and new member relationships. He will join President and CEO Melissa Bordelon in outreach efforts throughout the region. He will also serve as a liaison to the Greater Hammond Chamber's Small Business Committee and Young Professionals Committee.

"As an active member of the Chamber I have really enjoyed being a part of the Chamber's Young Professionals Committee, both through CAS as well as Southeastern," Bleakley said. "The opportunity to encourage more Young Professionals to get involved with the Chamber and specific YP programs is important for us to grow.”
