Greater Hammond Chamber introduces 2019 Ambassadors

The Greater Hammond Chamber is proud to introduce the 2019 Ambassador Committee members. 

“Our Ambassadors are highly visible, respected business volunteers who serve as the Chamber’s official greeters!” President and CEO Melissa Bordelon. “We are so fortunate to have them as partners in helping our members grow.”

Ambassadors are the first ones to welcome members and prospective members at ribbon-cuttings and ground-breakings, Leads for Lunch and After Hours. They understand member benefits and help Chamber members take advantage of the ones that best fit their needs.  

“Whether you are a solopreneur or you have employees in the thousands, you can enjoy an exceptional return on your investment by leveraging the Greater Hammond Chamber’s advocacy, marketing, savings, and networking benefits,” said 2018 Ambassador of the Year Christy Whitaker with Southeastern Real Estate Partners. 

This year’s team of 23 is led by Ambassador Chairman Jennifer Buras with Louisiana Federal Credit Union.

“I truly enjoy being the Ambassador Chairman because I am excited to meet with prospects and our current members to see how we can help their businesses thrive in our community,” Buras said. “We are ready to help assist Chamber members with any questions!”

Committee participation is a benefit of membership in the Greater Hammond Chamber. Over 100 business leaders are actively engaged in committee leadership through the Chamber’s Board of Directors, as well as the Governmental Affairs, Education, Small Business, Young Professionals, Ambassadors, Annie Awards, Chillin’ with the Chamber committees.
