Northshore Media Group and the Tangipahoa Chamber invite business leaders and the community to participate in Meet & Greet the Candidates and Forum on Wednesday, September 13, in the Southeastern Student Union Grand Ballroom. The event is FREE and open to the public.
The Meet & Greet will be from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. and is open to all qualified candidates in Tangipahoa Parish races. Candidates who register to participate in the Meet & Greet will have a table provided to display campaign materials and visit with attendees. The Forum will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will introduce candidates for Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff, Louisiana State Senate District 37, Louisiana State Representative District 72 and 73 and will be broadcast live on TANGI 96.5-FM, online at Tangi965.com and on the TANGI965 app. Forum topics and questions will be submitted by Tangipahoa Chamber business leaders and the public for consideration. The Tangipahoa Chamber and Northshore Media will finalize the questions to be posed during the forum.
The forum will begin with our moderator, TANGI 96.5’s Johnny Chauvin, introducing the State Rep District 72 and State Rep District 73 candidates who will share their reason for running and their platform.
Following that the candidates for State Senate District 37 will take the stage. They will be share opening remarks and be asked a series of three (3) questions and allowed closing remarks.
Finally, the candidates for Sheriff will take the stage to share opening remarks and be given a total of six (6) questions and allowed closing remarks.
