Let's start the day together on Friday, August 18 learning about facts AND myths of the eclipse. 

The Greater Hammond Chamber is hosting a Just the FUN Facts: The Science and History of the Eclipse event next Friday, August 18, from 7:30- 8:45 a.m. to talk about all things eclipse! That's right! Dr. Gerard Blanchard and Dr. William Robison from Southeastern Louisiana University will be our featured speakers sharing facts AND myths to make sure everyone is "in the know" for the Monday, August 21, eclipse. Held at the Southeastern Alumni Center, chamber members and the community are encouraged to attend.  

As a special opportunity we are partnering with Action News 17 to live stream the gathering so our Tangipahoa Parish teachers can use the educational material as part of their curriculum on Monday prior to the eclipse.$20 Pre-registration is required and breakfast will be served.  This event will sell out, so click here to reserve your seat today.
